The Vancouver
International Film Festival

Curator, VIFF Labs
2018 - Ongoing

Programmer, VIFF LIVE
2018 - 2020

Director, Industry & Live Events
2018 - 2021

As the director of industry and live events, I provide strategic leadership on initiatives that cultivate and empower the creator and the cinephile at all levels. By developing a dynamic portfolio of conferences, talks, masterclasses, exhibitions, performances and marketplaces for film, television, virtual reality, live performance and film music, live events at VIFF extends the boundaries of our collective understanding of screen-based storytelling.

As the programmer of VIFF LIVE, I curated major events that diversify the dimensionality of the festival experience. With a focus on live performances, I have worked with talent including RZA (Wu Tang Clan), Kid Koala, Goblin, Song Exploder, Chuck D (Public Enemy), Beverly Glenn-Copeland and On Cinema at the Cinema with Tim Heidecker & Gregg Turkington.

For VIFF Labs, I curate conversations between established global talent and local filmmakers, facilitating space to connect. Previous guests include Kristen Johnson (Cameraperson), Robert Greene (Procession, Bisbee ‘17), RaMell Ross (Hale County, This Morning, This Evening), Ellen Kuras ASC (Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind), Nyla Innuksuk (Slash/Back) and Emma Seligman (Bottoms, Shiva Baby).

Record Club Podcast

Co-Creator & Co-Producer
2020
Record Club is a live storytelling podcast that celebrates seminal albums and explores how these albums affect our lives. Produced by Kelly&Kelly and hosted by musician Louise Burns, each episode features storytellers telling a true, personal story about how a particular record shaped them. This is not a show about dissecting the musicality of an iconic album, but a show that focuses on the relationship people have with music. By the end of it’s initial run, Record Club charted on Apple Podcasts’ top 20 in the music commentary category and was featured on IndieWire’s Best Podcasts of 2020.
